Gypsy Rose Blanchard's Estranged Husband Ryan Anderson Opens Up About Their Divorce
The couple married in a jailhouse ceremony in 2022 while Blanchard was serving time for murder
Ryan Scott Anderson has opened up about his relationship with Gypsy Rose Blanchard, revealing that they are now getting a divorce.
Blanchard and Anderson married in a jailhouse ceremony in June 2022, while Blanchard was serving almost eight years in prison for the second-degree murder of her mother, Clauddinne "Dee Dee" Blanchard.
In a new interview with People, Anderson said that he felt lost in his marriage to Blanchard. "I didn't know who I was anymore," he said. "I was just trying to be what she wanted me to be."
Anderson also said that he was not happy with the way Blanchard was treated in prison. "She was treated like an animal," he said. "It was heartbreaking to see."
Blanchard was released from prison in July 2023 after serving seven years of her sentence. She is now living in a halfway house and working on getting her life back on track.
Anderson said that he is still in love with Blanchard, but he does not know if they will ever get back together. "I don't know what the future holds," he said. "But I wish her all the best."
