Summer Solstice is a 2005 German-produced two-part television film, a sequel to the 2000 novel Winter Solstice by Rosamunde Pilcher. The film stars Jacqueline Bisset, Lara-Joy Körner, Jan Niklas, and Jason Durr. It is summer three years on, and we return to the wild Scottish Highlands and the residents of Cregean that we came to know and love in Rosamunde Pilcher's Winter Solstice.

The film follows the lives of the residents of Cregean as they navigate the challenges of love, loss, and family. Jacqueline Bisset plays Helen, a woman who has recently lost her husband and is struggling to come to terms with her grief. Lara-Joy Körner plays Louisa, Helen's daughter, who is trying to find her own way in life. Jan Niklas plays Alex, a young man who falls in love with Louisa. Jason Durr plays Harry, a local farmer who is secretly in love with Helen.
